Shops and galleries in downtown Clayton, GA

The short answer

Downtown Clayton's shops sit on North Main Street and East Savannah Street, most within about 300 meters of the signal: two outdoor outfitters, galleries, paper and home goods, antiques, and Reeves, trading downtown since 1928. Most publish Sunday afternoon hours, but Reeves closes Sundays and Main Street Gallery opens only Friday and Saturday. Hours below come from each shop's own site.

  • Reeves was founded in Clayton in 1928 by Lewis F. Reeves Sr. and Rubye Dickerson Reeves. It first traded in the Derrick Building on Main Street before moving to the southwest corner of Main and Savannah Streets. The company calls itself the oldest retail store in Rabun County still owned by its founding family. Reeves: Our History

  • The Clayton Merchants & Business Association (CMBA) publishes visitclaytonga.net and hosts downtown's annual street events.
